Why the Constitution Party?
Over recent decades it has become quite clear that the majority of political parties cite the Constitution and other founding documents when it suits them, and then forget about it when they enact legislation or policies or regulations. The United States Constitution has been tangled and mangled until it is almost unrecognizable in the nation it birthed.
The Constitution Party is committed to re-establishing the American Constitutional Republic, as envisioned by its Framers. No other motives or agendas. No corporate or foreign influences. Just Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Why the Alaska Constitution Party?
Article IV of the Constitution outlines protections provided to states and territories within its jurisdiction. Territorial Alaska came into being under this section, becoming the 49th state in 1959.
The Tenth Amendment further states that any rights or powers not granted to the federal government at the time of the establishment of the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land, remain in the hands of the “states and the people of the states.”
These rights and powers have been consistently eroded by the state leaders who either do not know what their duties are, or who chose to ignore them for political or personal gain. The people of America, including Alaska, continue to lose Liberty as the federal government continues to gain control over the states through regulation, excessive taxation, and unconstitutional (unlawful) means.
The Alaska Constitution Party is committed to knowing limits of the federal Constitution within the state. It is also committed to knowing the Alaska State Constitution and understanding areas where it complies with the Constitution and areas where it might exceed its bounds on the rights of the people as well.
Why Join?
The Alaska Constitution Party is committed to the following:
- Educate the people with the truth about the Constitution and the founding of America, then teaching people how they can live Liberty in their daily lives.
- Organize at the precinct level in our communities, to identify issues which need addressing, then teach how to address them properly at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Support current office holders when they work towards re-establishing constitutional restrictions on governments, pointing out their error to those who do not have that knowledge, then offer practical and workable solutions on how to take back our Rights.
- Select candidates who know their constitutional duties and understand the principles of good governance which lead to Liberty. If you can’t find one, be one. We can help you with that process.
